You Want to start a Local Chapter
Beginning Your Local Chapter
So, You’re Starting a Passport Girls Chapter… Now What?
You’ve made an exciting decision—and we’re so proud of you!
Your next step is to build your squad. Begin sharing your chapter with your community and inviting girls or women who are ready to grow, explore, and be part of something meaningful.
Start promoting your chapter through social media, local groups, schools, and community spaces. As interest grows, be sure each new member receives your official Troop ID Number so they can register and be connected to your chapter.
This is the start of a life changing endeavor. You will be the one girls will look to as the authority and the expert.

Helpful Hints
-
Host Your First Interest Meeting Invite potential members (and parents, if applicable) to learn what Passport Girls is all about. Keep it fun, welcoming, and inspiring.
-
Register Your Members
Make sure each girl or woman officially joins using your Troop ID Number so they are connected to your chapter. -
Set Your Meeting Schedule
Choose consistent days and times that work best for your group, monthly or bi-weekly is a great place to start. -
Plan Your First Official Meeting
Create an experience they’ll never forget! Think introductions, fun icebreakers, and a simple activity that reflects your mission. -
Create a Communication Hub
-
Start an email list to stay connected with your members and their families. This keeps communication simple, organized, and easy to manage for everyone.
-
We do not recommend creating separate chapter social media pages, as multiple platforms can quickly become overwhelming. Instead, we encourage your girls to engage with and post on the official national social media pages, helping them feel part of something bigger while keeping everything streamlined and consistent.
